International Women's Day 2023

Published: 07/03/2023 By Jessica Chalmers

On International Women's Day, as is Whitman & Co tradition, we would like to celebrate a fabulous local woman doing great things for the community.

This year we would like the spotlight to shine on Dr Rebecca Hayes, who, on International Women's Day, opens her Chiswick Menopause Clinic.

Dr Rebecca Hayes is a GP and menopause specialist, passionate about improving menopause care and empowering women to make the best choices for themselves. She is a member of the British Menopause Society and is completing Specialist Accreditation with the BMS.

Why the Chiswick Menopause Clinic?
Dr Rebecca Hayes wants to get to know her patients, understand their needs, and deliver a bespoke personalised service. Spending an hour with patients covering all aspects of menopause and assessing their overall health and risk factors associated with menopause enables a holistic approach.

Covering contraception, osteoporosis, cardiovascular disease, and the different types of HRT. Going through patients' choices and options with a product demonstration will empower women to make the right choice.

The clinic is based at HCA Chiswick Medical Centre, Bond House, 347 - 353 Chiswick High Road, London W4 4HS.

FREE Chiswick Menopause Support Group:
Dr Rebecca Hayes runs free monthly support groups to improve access to menopause information. During the session, Dr Hayes will spend 30 minutes discussing various topics, from non-hormonal and lifestyle measures to HRT and health risks. Followed by 30 minutes of Q&A and socialising. Dr Hayes will also demonstrate how to apply different HRT products. She plans to invite guest speakers to discuss breast cancer risk and other relevant topics.

The next talk will be 8-9 pm on the 21st of March at N197 Chiswick Fire Station.
