It only feels like yesterday that we were bundling our children off on their first day back at school in their crisp white shirts and half term is already upon us. But never fear Whitman and Co have got your half term covered with some fab activities for your children, big or small.

Join Siyanda the winsome life size African puppet in her 30 minute educational and engaging show. Based in the newly refurbished Arican zone of the Temperate House, Siyanda will teach the children about the plants and why it is so important to look after them. If you haven’t been to the recently opened Temperate House now’s your chance!

My Little Boarders
Monday 22nd – Friday 26th October               
My Little Boarders is London’s top children’s skateboarding club. This fantastic club specialises in teaching 6-14 year olds how to skateboard in a fun and safe environment. As well as offering weekend clubs, after school, private lessons and parties My Little Boarders also offers holiday camps; With two fantastic locations to choose from the skateboarding holiday clubs covers skate park skateboarding (in the morning) and street skateboarding (in the afternoon). They cater for beginners, intermediate and advanced skaters. The club has been designed so that the parent can choose how many sessions they would like to do from half a day to a few days. Also bear in mind that all equipment is supplied so there is no need to rush off and buy a skateboard and there are pick up and drop off points in West London! So if your child is aged between 6-14 years get in touch and let’s get them skating this Autumn!

Inspired by Black History Month and some of the incredible people exhibited in the galleries children of all ages are invited to join in and create something fun to take home with them. The activity is free and there is no need to book.

Curious Creepy Crawlies

Gunnersbury Triangle Nature Reserve, Bollo Lane, London W4 5LW
All mini beast enthusiasts should head to Chiswick’s best kept secret, Gunnersbury Triangle on Thursday to celebrate all things creepy crawlie! There will be lots of fun and free activities to keep your children entertained: Making clay creatures, decorating spider’s webs and bug hunts (at 11am, 12pm, 2pm) are just a few of the activities on hand.

Pumpkin Carving

Get your spook on this half term and head to this pumpkin carving workshop run by the brilliant Tim Norris. Tim is responsible for the wonderful wooden carvings in and around Gunnersbury Park. Carve a pumpkin that will have all the trick or treaters applauding! Pumpkins are provided and booking is essential.
