Grove Park and Strand on the Green Area Guide
At the heart of Grove Park is the Palladian Chiswick House with its magnificent 15 acres of landscaped public grounds. This along with over half of Chiswick was owned by the Duke of Devonshire in the mid 19th Century. Even today many properties in Grove Park have a covenant within their title allowing the Duke to hunt across your gardens!
Grove Park is regarded as a family area with most properties having generous gardens and some with river frontage.
It is served well by Chiswick main line station, numerous bus routes and main arterial roads. There is also a good selection of schools, sports facilities and health clubs.
Strand on the Green is positioned east of Kew Bridge on the North bank of the River Thames. It is renowned as a particularly picturesque part of London with a footpath running along the bank of the river overlooked by numerous imposing 18th Century houses and three historical Pubs.
Behind Thames Road are desirable Victorian cottages, boutique shops and an excellent primary school.
