Bedford Park Festival 2018

Published: 05/06/2018 By Jessica Chalmers

We are days away from Chiswick’s favourite fortnight: The Bedford Park Festival. This fabulous community event celebrates the arts whilst raising money for charity.

The festival kicks off with the Green Days Fete and Craft Fair this weekend on the green opposite Turnham Green tube station. The weekend is brilliant fun for all the family. Children can take part in the Peter Rabbit themed fancy dress parade, 5-a-side football matches, tombola and the fun fair. There are plenty of mooching opportunities around the Craft Village and the food and drink stalls. Our local thirst quenchers Fuller’s and Sipsmith are on hand to do just that whilst you soak up the live music in the sun (fingers crossed ). But before you get too settled don’t forget to call by the Cycle Zone and say hello to the Whitman and Co team who will be offering the chance to win a bike!

The Fete is followed by a fortnight of music, drama, talks and walks. Whether you are a devotee of Jazz or a Classical connoisseur there is music to suit your taste. Photography competitions, home art exhibitions, comedy at the Tabbard and poetry are amongst the cultural smorgasbord on offer.

We hope you have a wonderful time!
